U-InTouch™ is a comprehensive telehealth, telecare, and telemedicine platform designed to support HIPAA compliance and facilitate secure communication between medical service providers and patients. It facilitates remote connection, monitoring, evaluation, and collaboration to enhance healthcare management.
The system is equipped with an extensive set of features and offers full mobility for various users, including physicians, patients and their families, medical facilities, service providers, and diagnostic entities.
For physicians, U-InTouch enables remote consultations via audio and video conferencing utilizing integrated devices such as remote monitoring tools and medical alert systems. It allows clinicians to review patient symptoms, verify insurance eligibility, process payments, e-prescribe medications, order diagnostics and therapies, and access pertinent reports during consultations. Additionally, the platform generates automated transcribed reports of interactions for record-keeping.
Patients benefit from the ability to create, store, and share medical records seamlessly. U-InTouch supports ongoing communication between patients and healthcare teams regardless of location.
Long-term care facilities such as SNFs, LTACs, and ALFs use U-InTouch as a robust telehealth solution for staff collaboration with physicians, service providers, residents' families, and other stakeholders. The system streamlines processes such as electronic prescriptions, medical service orders, report access, triage management, and the integration of patient data into Electronic Health Records.
Diagnostic and medical service providers gain access to tools for order management, resource tracking across multiple locations, team communication, and operational oversight—all through mobile devices to support fieldwork and daily workflows.
U-InTouch comprises six core components:
- Communication Kit
- My Universe Kit
- Interface Kit
- My Order Kit
- Services Kit
- Personal Health Kit
Communication Kit: This module includes UMEDEX Cloud-phone services with integrated call, text messaging, video conferencing, and a medical alert system embedded within a unified platform. It also offers collaboration tools.
My Universe Kit: Provides navigation assistance including directions, routes, contact tracking (pending authorization), and personal/business mileage logging.
Interface Kit: Facilitates connectivity with Bluetooth and IoT devices such as blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeters, weight scales, GPS trackers, and fall detection alerts. It also supports document creation and export to Electronic Health Records (EHR), medical image transfer to PACS systems, and instant patient eligibility confirmation through a nationwide insurance network accessible via mobile devices.
My Order Kit: Designed for diagnostic and medical service providers to enable mobility in creating and managing diagnostic orders, uploading paperwork, exporting DICOM images, conducting eligibility verifications, generating HL7 files, and communicating through fax or email. It includes live map features for job tracking and staff coordination.
Service Kit: Allows users across the platform to issue service tickets, monitor statuses with progress alerts at each stage until completion.
Personal Health Kit: Empowers patients to manage their health data by creating, storing, and sharing medical information with their healthcare team. Equipped with various monitoring devices for uploading vital signs and medical data while providing tools for handling documents, images, and reports.
Note: Continued GPS usage in the background may impact device battery life.
